There isn't much to say about a birth that can't be seen and felt through the images, you can't help but feel things, the emotions in a room when a baby is born compares to nothing else I have ever experienced. Meeting your own baby is already unmatchable, but being there to photograph others in their most vulnerable and primal state is a different kind of incredible.
To be present when Taisha and Mitch welcomed their daughter Augie into the world was the greatest honour!
From the pure power, strength and determination that Taisha had to bring Augie earthside, to the love from Mitch, having to watch his wife in the pain and exhaustion of labour, but keeping a calm presence to support her through, was such an organic experience, just rolling through those waves of labour together, knowing that they'd soon meet their daughter, I tell you it was a beautiful thing to be witness to.
Birth is raw, real and powerful, in every form.
